COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION

SHOPPER ID
When you first arrive at our site, we assign you a Shopper ID and store that on your computer as a cookie. A cookie is a small data file that most Web sites write to your computer's hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file can contain information such as a user ID, which the site can use to track which pages on the site you've visited and to keep track of your shopping basket. By themselves, cookies can't be used to identify individuals. Lingerie Island uses cookies to help keep track of your preferences so that we can tailor your shopping experience to better suit your needs. We also use cookies to monitor traffic patterns on our site, to let us know whether you've visited our site in the past, and to determine whether you came to our site from a particular Internet link or sponsored advertisement. ORDER FORM
To process your order, we require your name, billing address, phone number, email address, shipping address and credit card information. We use this information solely to process your order and, if any questions should arise, to contact you about your order. We share this information, and only that information which is absolutely necessary, with those third parties that are involved in the processing of your order. For example, the financial institution that issued your credit card and the shipping carrier that delivers your order. In addition to the information you provide, we automatically record your IP address when you place an order to help us detect fraudulent activity. We may share this with the financial institution that issued the credit card with which an order was placed, or with law enforcement authorities, if we determine use of the credit card was fraudulent

EMAIL LINKS
In various places on our site, you will find links for sending us an email message. We use your email address to send you a reply and we will retain your message only for later referral should you ever decide to contact us again. Your message and email address remain confidential unless you specifically give us permission otherwise.

LOGS
Your IP address, browser type and all pages that you access are logged for site administrative purposes. In addition, we log the URL of the page that referred you to the Lingerie Island site. This information is deleted on a daily basis and only totals, which contain no personally identifiable information, are kept beyond that time period. For example, when we delete the log at the end of each day, any record of which pages you visited is gone forever.

EXTERNAL LINKS
In certain circumstances we may provide links to other sites that we think you may find useful but which are outside the control of Lingerie Island. If you click these links, you will leave Lingerie Island and enter sites that may have different private policies than Lingerie Island.

Aside from the previously mentioned third parties involved in the processing of your order, we do not share your personally identifiable information with any other entities. In addition, we will not send you any communications that you do not explicitly request from us.

Providing customers with the best security possible is a commitment of Lingerie Island and we utilize industry standard SSL encryption when accepting your credit card information during our online checkout process. In addition, we utilize the same encryption standard when transferring your credit card data to our internal fulfillment system.

To make any changes to or to cancel your order, please contact us via email where we will be happy to assist you.


CHANGES TO OUR PRIVATE POLICY
If we are going to use your personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify you via email. You will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in this different manner. In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database, we will revise the "last update" date at the top of the privacy statement and for material changes we will post a prominent notice on our web site notifying users of the change. In some cases where we post the notice we will also email users, who have opted to receive communications from us, notifying them of the changes in our privacy practices.
